Create a Vendor Credit Note (Manual)

Introduction

Once stock has been transferred from the BBB Warehouse to the Vendor location, the inventory team needs to create a Vendor Refund

Responsible Team

Navigate to your Odoo dashboard and click on this application: Accounting

Navigate as follows to get to the correct screen:

You should now land on a screen that looks like this:

Process

  1. Click [CREATE], you should now see this screen:
  2. Enter the following details:
    1. Vendor
    2. Bill Reference: Return to Supplier reference number
    3. Payment Reference: Vendor Credit Note reference number
    4. Bill Date
  3. Click on the 'Add a line' and enter the product details and quantity of the return to supplier.
  4. Click [SAVE].
  5. Review that all information entered is correct and complete, the click [CONFIRM].
  6. On the 'Print' dropdown select 'Credit Note'.
  7. Select the PDF document that appears in your browser downloads, you should now land on a screen that looks like this:
  8. Once the Vendor Credit Note Bill has been created, the Accounting team will register the payment from the Vendor on Odoo. The credit note PDF document can be attached and sent to the Vendor's email address listed in Odoo.
