Cancelling a Sales Order Not Delivered

Introduction

If a customer wants to cancel a Sales Order that was ordered, the Warehouse team needs to communicate this to the warehouse manager to effect the correct action on Odoo. This can only be done if both of the following are true:

  • The goods have not yet been Delivered (nor Invoiced) on Odoo.
  • The goods have not left the warehouse.

Responsible Team

  • Warehouse Team
  • Sales Order Clerk

Navigate to your Odoo dashboard and click on this application: Sales

Navigate as follows to get to the correct screen:

Orders/Orders

On the search bar at the top, type in the Sales Order number and you should now land on a screen that looks like this:

Process

  1. Select the Sales Order, you should now land on a screen that looks like this:
  2. Click [CANCEL].
  3. Click on 'Log note' and type the Sales Order status on the screen and the reason for the cancellation:
    1. Click [LOG].
  4. This Sales Order is now cancelled.
